Congress Should Make It Easier for Taxpayers Who Still File by Mail

Five words or less(NewsUSA) – Sponsored News – Tax season is upon us, and once again, taxpayers who aren’t technologically savvy are scrambling to find the resources they need to file their taxes because the IRS stopped mailing forms and instructions, even to taxpayers who filed by mail the previous tax year. At the same time, tax fraud and identity theft have reached record levels, much of it driven by criminals using e-filing technologies. Congress now has the opportunity to take action. The PAPER Act (H.R. 3673) would require the IRS to mail tax forms and instructions to individuals who filed paper returns in the preceding tax year.
