Lena Dunham said white men can’t understand what it’s like to be under attack like Hillary Clinton is “every day.”

During an interview with Page Six, the 29-year-old actress said she was “used to the intense scrutiny and some of the kind of hatred we’ve ­received around [‘Girls’], but every day Hillary is campaigning against a set of odds that none of the other candidates can even imagine.” (RELATED: Lena Dunham: The Way The Media Covers Clinton Is ‘Rabidly Sexist’)

“The other candidates are white men and they cannot understand, even if they can understand it intellectually, what it’s like to be under that kind of attack, and I’m so impressed by the way she continues to soldier forth,” Dunham said.
