Still, the Weekly Standard reports Clinton’s appearance differed from Sanders’ in a major way — the telecom giant has provided the former secretary of state nearly $500,000 in payments and campaign contributions. (RELATED: Bernie Protests Verizon Despite Being A High-Paying, Loyal Customer)
According to Salon, Verizon gave the Clinton Foundation somewhere between $100,000-$250,000 and is a corporate partner with the Clinton Health Matters Initiative.
Furthermore, the company provided Clinton a one-time payment to the tune of $225,000 for a speech she gave back in May 2013.
Several high ranking Verizon employees have also made $2,700 and $1,000 personal donations to “Hillary for America.”
