Former football star Montee Ball wants people to know that he doesn’t care what you think of the allegations that he harmed two different women. He also took a shot at former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel.
Ball posted an Instagram with the caption:
I wanna know what would happen if I was caught partying at coachella..or caught with 32k worth of damages in a home?? Etc…..id be in jail. where ive already been a few times. I dont have the MVP of superbowl 50…or multiple celebrities PUBLICLY in my corner (nothing against you 58!). I’m getting dragged through the mud and stepped on. And then pissed on. Call me petty for this..say what you want. A lot of yall in my shoes would not have waited this long. But it was time for me to say something..it was time for me to let yall know i do. Not. Care. What yall think or have thought about me. Those who know me know what kind of man i am. Since day 1. So…As always…I’ma keep my head held high and continue this fight the Lord gave me. So for the good bad and ugly lord I thank you..I do not know what you have in store for me but I do know my faith in you has never faded.
The portion about damages to a house and partying at Coachella are direct shots at Manziel, who has allegedly done both. To be clear, neither of Manziel’s actions are crimes, nor is he under criminal investigation for either.
Ball has been arrested three times in 2016 for multiple charges surrounding allegations that he beat his girlfriend so badly she had to be stitched up at a hospital where they found older wounds. More charges against the former Denver Broncos and Wisconsin Badgers player stem from an alleged incident where he attempted to strangle a woman. Hard to see the comparison Ball is trying to make, because Manziel isn’t facing the prospect of spending time behind bars on multiple charges.
