Andrew Shaw had a minor brain fart Tuesday night.
During the waning minutes of Chicago’s game 4 loss to the St. Louis Blues, the Blackhawks winger was penalized for interference, and on his way to the gate, he graciously saluted the referees.
He also sent them a special message from the box.

“Emotions are high. I don’t know what’s said,” Shaw said of his behavior after the game. “I was obviously upset with the call, being late in game. It doesn’t give us a chance to tie it up.”
The NHL has not commented on the incident, despite public pressure from LBGT interest groups.
We are aware of tonight’s incident and will be reaching out to the NHL immediately to assist in an appropriate response.
