The so-called leader of the #NeverTrump movement claims that even the people who don’t like Sen. [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore] should still vote for him even though “You’re not going to give this to him by voting for him.”
As a panelist on NBC’s “Meet the Press” moderated by Chuck Todd on Sunday, Katie Packer said that it’s “a total frustration” that neither Cruz nor John Kasich have gained the support necessary to defeat Trump.
According to Packer, the #NeverTrump message is “Let’s take it to the convention. Let’s let the process play itself out.'”
Packer then made an astonishing claim, “If you don’t like Ted Cruz and don’t want to vote for him, that’s okay. You’re not going to give this to him by voting for him.”
Cruz is “not going to get to 1,237 before the convention,” Packer admitted. “But let’s do what we can to get this to an open convention and then duke it out.”
