Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band opened their show in Brooklyn, New York, Saturday with a stirring tribute to Prince. Without saying anything to the crowd, the band took the stage, which was lit with purple lights, and began playing the late artist’s signature song.
When they realized what was going on, the crowd went wild.
“Prince, we love you,” Springsteen said at the end, “God bless.”
