Bill Clinton blamed Barack Obama’s economy for the rise of Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders while campaigning for his wife Hillary.
During a press gaggle in East Hartford, Connecticut on Monday, Clinton said, “The country is doing better than everybody else in the world, but 80% of the country has not had a pay raise since the crash.” (RELATED: Bill Clinton: Black Lives Matter Defends Black People Who Kill Other Black People [VIDEO])
“Therefore there is great fear that we can’t return to broad-based prosperity and that has lit a lot of the fires that have helped Mr. Trump on the right and Sen. Adding, “It is totally predictable,” as a aide to Clinton cut off the reporter asking a follow up question.
This is not the first time Clinton has criticized Obama’s presidency on the campaign trail. In March, Clinton called for people to get to a “point where we can put the awful legacy of the last eight years behind us.”
