Amal Clooney hits back at Donald Trump over his anti-Muslim rhetoric, saying they don’t represent American values.

On Monday, George Clooney’s wife in an interview with BBC attacked the Republican front-runner’s plans to ban Muslims from the country.

“[Trump] kept saying, ‘they only want jihad; they don’t believe in our way of life; they don’t respect our system’… People, I think, should’ve been saying, ‘Do you mean the 1.5 billion people around the world who fit that description?'” she added.

“Do you mean the people who are U.S. citizens, who are members of your military, the vast majority of whom are not extremist or violent in any way?”

The human rights lawyer said she can’t see why Trump’s inflammatory rhetoric towards “Muslims” and “women” haven’t hurt him more. Adding, “I don’t think they are U.S. values.”

Amal and her husband George Clooney have said they are Hillary Clinton supporters.

As previously reported, the couple last week held a fundraiser for the Democrat front-runner that was one of her biggest fundraisers to date.
