Just days after Donald Trump adviser and D.C. insider Paul Manafort told members of the Republican National Committee candidate Donald Trump was playing a “part” with his campaign style and would be more “presidential” soon, campaign manager Corey Lewandowski shot that idea down.

Appearing on CNN, Lewandowski, who is reportedly in a power struggle inside the campaign with Manafort, said, “What Paul is talking about is in those smaller meetings when Donald Trump is one on one with someone, he may not be having the same type of loud, verbose conversation because it’s a more private, intimate setting. But the message is the same and Donald Trump will never change. And the motto of this campaign has been, and continues to be: let Mr. Trump be Mr. Trump.”
