Stanley Hudson, a character on the NBC show “The Office,” once explained his favorite day at work each year:
I wake up every morning in a bed that’s too small, drive my daughter to a school that’s too expensive, and then I go to work to a job for which I get paid too little, but on pretzel day? Well, I like pretzel day…
Stanley would be happy today because today is Pretzel Day. And it’s not just Pretzel Day at the Dunder Mifflin branch in Scranton (although it is primary day there). Nope. Today is National Pretzel Day.
The best way to celebrate National Pretzel Day, of course, is to eat a pretzel. But let’s assume you have already gone through the traditional Pretzel Day rituals. How does one take his or her love of pretzels to the next level?
The answer quite simply is to up your sock game. Great socks are one of the hallmarks of fashion today, and pretzel socks have the added benefit of becoming a uniform de rigeur for Pretzel Day each year.
With socks like these, you are a sure bet to become the Stanley Hudson of your office.
