Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey thinks the NFL needs to focus on more important issues like sexual assault and domestic violence instead of “Deflategate.”

Healey spoke with the Boston Herald after New England Patriots superstar quarterback Tom Brady’s suspension was reinstated after a decision from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. (RELATED: BREAKING: Circuit Court Reinstates Brady’s 4-Game ‘Deflategate’ Suspension)

“My view remains that the NFL spent way too much time and energy and attention on this issue when it had missed the boat for a long time on the issues of domestic violence and sexual assault. That’s where I would like to see them focus their attention,” she said. (RELATED: Trump Stands Up To The NFL On Deflategate)

Brady and others in the Patriots organization have been accused by the NFL and Commissioner Roger Goodell of allegedly deflating footballs before a playoff game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Multiple NFL players and former players have been arrested for domestic violence related problems during the time that the NFL has been investigating Brady and the Patriots. (RELATED: REPORT: NFL Owners Pressured Roger Goodell To ‘Go Hard On’ Brady’s Deflategate Punishment)
