A bus driver in Harrison City, Pennsylvania is facing a criminal charge of child endangerment after she ordered a student off the bus to move a live electrical wire that fell into the street.

Tyler Cunningham wasn’t seriously hurt during the April 15 incident, but according to his father, he sustained burns on his hand moving the wire. The wire was knocked over by a passing goose, according to the Associated Press.

Driver Patricia Ryan says she didn’t mean any harm in her request, but it still resulted in her being removed from the job that same day. Now, she could face criminal penalties as well. Cunningham’s parents say Ryan should at least lose her license.

Doubtless the entire mess could have been avoided if Ryan had simply remembered this helpful PSA from G.I. Joe.
