Kesha’s mom, Pebe Sebert, has dropped her counterclaim against producer Dr. Luke.

Sebert who had filed a counterclaim in defense of her daughter Kesha Rose Sebert against the music producer has dropped the claim, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

“The litigation with Dr. Luke has been a nightmare for Mrs. Sebert and her family,” said Pebe’s attorney. “She has decided to move on and find peace and forgiveness in her heart rather than dwelling in the cancerous past of an ongoing lawsuit with no end in sight.”

Dr. Luke — whose real name is Lukasz Gottwald — is suing Kesha’s mom for “defamation and tortious interference.”

In response the singer’s mom had filed a counterclaim of “intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress” for the alleged abuse of her daughter.

In addition, the Hollywood Reporter said that Sebert’s claim focused on “misrepresentations and fraudulent inducement by asserting that Dr. Luke had promised that she would be involved” in Kesha’s career.

“Pebe Sebert’s voluntary withdrawal of all her claims against Dr. Luke is her acknowledgement that her claims are meritless,” said Dr. Luke’s attorney.

A New York judge, earlier this year, dismissed Kesha’s claims against her record label Sony and Dr. Luke. Kesha had filed a lawsuit against the music company and producer Dr. Luke after she claimed he tried to rape her.
