Hillary Clinton’s campaign has “used language reserved for traitors” in describing Bernie Sanders supporters, the Vermont senator’s campaign claimed in a Tuesday fundraising email.

The email went out while voters in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island hit polling booths. Democratic Primary Results: Clinton Wins 4 Of 5 Primaries

Bearing Sanders’ name as the addresser, the email sent by Bernie’s campaign manager Jeff Weaver, charges, “Over the past few days, Hillary Clinton’s campaign and some of its top supporters have launched an odd new line of attack against people like you who stand with Bernie.”

“They are saying that by continuing to campaign and fight for every vote, for every delegate, that we are helping Donald Trump,” the email continues.

Weaver complains: “They’ve used language reserved for traitors to our country, saying we are ‘giving aid and comfort’ to Trump. They are emailing supporters with the subject line ‘What Trump loves about Bernie.'”

Instead of asking for $2.70, the Sanders campaign now asks for $3.00 contributions.
