Legendary Indiana basketball coach Bobby Knight says Donald Trump is “the most prepared man in history to step in as president of the United States.”
During a campaign rally for Trump in Indianapolis, Indiana on Wednesday, Knight said, “If you people will do this, if you will do this, you will be having our government take its first step toward what all of us want America to be like.”
After Trump introduced Knight to the massive crowd at his rally, Knight said, “You folks are taking a look at the most prepared man in history to step in as president of the United States — that man right there.”
Regarding the concerns that Trump is not “presidential” enough, Knight said he didn’t “know what the hell that means.”
Knight went on to compare Trump to Harry Truman. “They said Harry Truman wasn’t presidential, and damn he went on to be one of the three best presidents in US history. [Trump] will at some point be one of those also,” Knight said.
According to Knight, “there has never been a more honest politician” than the New York billionaire.
