The Best Amazon Fire Got Even Better

Back in the day, Amazon used to call their tablets e-reader the “Kindle Fire.” At some point since the first Kindle Fire was released in 2011, Amazon decided to double down on their e-readers feeling more like books. As such, the Kindle Fires were spun off into their own line, renamed the “Fire HD.”

The Fire HDs work really well as multipurpose e-readers. They were obviously made for enjoying books, but — as the HD moniker implies — they are perfect for watching movies and TV shows. If you want a portable device to fulfill all of your pop culture desires, you can’t go wrong with a Fire.

The question then becomes which one to get. The cheapest version — the Fire 7 — is only $49.99, although at this point that model can be considered outdated. The best option – the Fire HDX – is quite expensive at $479.99. While the Fire HDX is a good enough product to demand a high price tag, there’s got to be something in between.

The answer to this conundrum is the Fire HD 10. Normally costing $230, you can now get it for $180. That is significantly less than the Fire HDX, and it is also way less than an iPad, which is not even as light or sturdy as the Fire HD 10.

At $230, the Fire HD 10 is already the Kindle tablet to buy. At $179.99, however, it becomes an absolute steal. This is a highly recommended product at a highly reasonable price.
