Dale Earnhardt Jr. avoided what could have been a total disaster at Sunday’s GEICO 500 at Talladega.
Junior was forced to grab the steering column and maneuver by hand after his steering wheel was detached during the race.
Thankfully, Earnhardt managed to reattach his wheel, only to be wrecked by Carl Edwards later in the race.
