Former House Speaker Dennis Hastert – a “serial child molester” who was recently sentenced to 15 months in prison – received 22 gifts worth $8,205 from foreign governments between 2006 and 2011, including a jeweled Moroccan sword.

Hastert disclosed the gifts as required and turned them over to the General Services Administration, according to documents obtained by the website Government Attic.org through a Freedom of Information Act request.

Giving up such gifts is a standard process to eliminate conflicts of interest. The document does not disclose who awarded the gifts.

Among the presents, Hastert received a “dagger/sword Moroccan jeweled” valued at $650, records show. He also received a $100 crystal goblet, a $300 bronze female statue and a $900 blue and pink wool rug.

A federal judge called Hastert a “serial child molester” April 27 when the former speaker was sentenced to 15 months in prison for bank fraud related to sexual abuse allegations. (RELATED: Dennis Hastert Gets 15 Months Behind Bars In Hush-Money Case)

Boehner received two gifts, each worth $1,200, including a barbecue grill. Pelosi received seven gifts totaling $3,856, which includes a $985 Persian carpet.
