MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough said that [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore] will have to “come around at some point” and support Donald Trump “if he wants a future in Republican politics.”

“Unlike [crscore]Marco Rubio[/crscore], we know Ted Cruz has a future in politics, in Republican politics,” Scarborough argued Wednesday on “Morning Joe.”

“I say Marco, Marco may choose [to] never come back again,” he continued. “But Ted Cruz is gonna be around in politics and the thing that everybody thinks Donald Trump doesn’t understand, it’s not about Donald Trump. It’s about that massive conservative/populist wing in the party that elected guys like me in ’94 and have been electing Republicans in 2010 and 2014, that quite frankly Ted Cruz can’t piss off.”

“So what’s he going to do, sit on the sidelines while Hillary Clinton gets elected? No, Ted Cruz is gonna have to come around at some point if he wants any future in Republican politics. That’s these reality. These #NeverTrump people can sit on the sidelines all they want. You can’t piss off 60 percent of the Republican vote in primaries. You just can’t if you want a future in politics.”
