Donald Trump started his pivot toward the general election Saturday by attacking Hillary Clinton on gun rights, claiming that the Democratic front-runner wants to “take your guns away.”

“Hillary Clinton wants to abolish the Second Amendment, she wants to abolish it,” Trump said at an rally in Lynden, Wash.

“Hillary Clinton wants to take your guns away, she wants to abolish the Second Amendment, she wants to take the bullets away, she wants to take it. We’re going to protect the Second Amendment,” he added.

The presumptive Republican nominee focused his attention on Clinton during the weekend. At a Friday rally, Trump said Hillary was an enabler of her husband’s affairs.

“She was an unbelievably nasty, mean enabler, and what she did to a lot of those women is disgraceful,” Trump said.
