Gene Simmons Calls Prince’s Death ‘Pathetic’

“I think Prince was heads, hands and feet above all the rest of them,” Simmons said during an interview with Newsweek. “I thought he left [Michael] Jackson in the dust. Prince was way beyond that.” (RELATED: Gene Simmons: Donald Trump Is ‘Good For The Political System’)

“But how pathetic that he killed himself. Don’t kid yourself, that’s what he did. Slowly, I’ll grant you, but that’s what drugs and alcohol is: a slow death.”

“His drugs killed him,” he added. “What do you think, he died from a cold?” (RELATED: PRINCE — DEAD AT 57)

Simmons added that he’s never been “high or drunk in [his] life.”

He later said that David Bowie’s death was “tragic.”
