‘Hamilton’ Star: ‘Immigrants Get The Job Done’

The star of the hit Broadway musical “Hamilton” believes America was built on the backs of immigrants.

Speaking at the University of Pennsylvania commencement Monday, Lin-Manuel Miranda — who plays Alexander Hamilton — said the musical he’s in “reminds us that a broke orphan immigrant from the West Indies built our financial system.” (RELATED: What Fabio Just Said About Immigration Will Stop Some People Dead In Their Tracks)

“Since the beginning of the great unfinished symphony that is our American experiment, time and time again immigrants get the job done,” Miranda said.
