Sen. [crscore]Barbara Boxer[/crscore] says that she was frightened by the Bernie Sanders’ supporters who booed her off the stage at the Nevada Democratic Convention.

Appearing on CNN’s “At This Hour With Berman and Bolduan” on Wednesday, Boxer said, “I was on the stage and people were 6 feet away from me and if I didn’t have a lot of security, I don’t know what would have happened.”

Boxer argued, “This has got to be about what’s best for the country. And at the end of the day, I trust that [Sanders] will see it that way and he will act. It was a scary situation. I was there, I saw it. It was frightening.” (RELATED: Chaos At Nevada Democratic Convention As Bernie Fans Boo Barbara Boxer [VIDEO])

“But this election isn’t about me. It’s about us and we have to work together. And I believe we will. We have to remember that when Hillary ran against Barack Obama, there are a lot of harsh feelings. So I’m very hopeful that we will come together,” Boxer claimed.

“But you really did feel threatened, physically threatened, you were nervous about your safety after that event,” host Kate Bolduan asked. (RELATED: Even Rachel Maddow Is Trashing The Democratic Party’s ‘Ugly’ Chaos [VIDEO])

“Well, I said that. I said that to Bernie and I said that publicly. When you have people not listening to a word and angry, their faces red and they were shouting obscenities… no one threw a chair at me. No one threw any object at me,” Boxer said. “If that’s the bar, that’s disconcerting,” Bolduan interjected.

“I’m saying how I felt. It was a frightening situation. It was not under control. And I mean, what I got was nothing compared to what the Democratic Party chair in Nevada got. And she has gotten vile threats to herself and her family. This is serious stuff. And this is not what we need going into an election,” Boxer argued. “There is no place for this in either party. No place for this.”
