Navy Adm. John M. Richardson is gathering over 200 admirals Thursday to remind them to knock off watching porn, drinking themselves into oblivion and groping waitresses.

The service has recently been wracked by scandal after scandal involving admirals engaged in wild behavior, The Washington Post reports.

“Our behavior, as an organization and as individuals, must signal our commitment to the values we so often proclaim,” Richardson told admirals in advance of the meeting. “As senior leaders, our personal conduct, and the example it sets, are essential to our credibility.”

“We share a professional and moral obligation to continuously examine our motivations and personal conduct, and, where required, adjust our behaviors back in line with our values,” Richardson said. “We cannot relegate this to our legal counselors. We need to help each other and hold each other accountable – this is leader business.”

Richardson declined to list any specific examples of degeneracy, but there are many cases of note.

In January, Vice Adm. Nora Tyson fired Rear Adm. Rick Wilson for viewing porn on a government computer. Wilson’s collection was discovered after a routine inspection.

In October, 2015, then-Rear Adm. David Baucom engaged in drunken shenanigans at a conference in April of that year. He was reportedly so drunk a hotel employee had to assist him in returning to his hotel room. But the adventure didn’t end there. Baucom proceeded to leave his room and wander the halls naked, apparently looking for a towel to cover up his indecency.

Vice Adm. Timothy Giardina was fired in 2013 for using fake gambling chips at the Horseshoe Council Bluffs Casino in Iowa. After investigators discovered his DNA on one of the chips, Giardina fessed up. Using fake chips is a Class D felony in Iowa.

Rear Adm. Charles M. Gaouette was fired in 2012 for apparently spouting off racially offensive tirades.

Also overshadowing the meeting is one of the greatest scandals ever to hit the Navy. An Asian defense contractor over the course of a decade supplied Navy officers with prostitutes and cash in exchange for favors.
