The mom who made a video wearing a “Chewbacca” mask, has had her video seen more than 60 million times on Facebook and now the retailer says the masks are sold out.
The “Chewbacca”mom, Candace Payne, had clearly way too much fun when she tried on the mask that has blown up on social media since she made the video Thursday, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
During the four minute video, Payne talks about wanting the mask as a “secret birthday present” for herself. “It’s the simple joys in life,” she said. Adding “I am a happy Chewbacca.”
Even the actor that made “Chewbacca” come to life in the “Star Wars” saga, Peter Mayhew, took notice and posted on a Reddit board, “Absolutely wonderful! Cheers.”
A spokesperson for the retailer has said that “the mask is currently sold out on Kohls.com.” But she suggested that fans might still be able to locate one at their local store.
