It’s one thing for a male reporter to urinate while outside, but going number 2?

That’s probably taking things much too far.

Yet this is what Phoenix TV reporter Jonathan Lowe did Monday while on assignment.

He has since been fired. An employee who answered the phone at Arizona’s CBS5 told The Mirror, “He no long works here.” The female voice said the news director would get back to me.

Seems like he took the expression “shit or get off the pot” way too seriously.

As reported by The Washington Times, Lowe was covering the news of Patrick Zane Thompson, an ex-Arizona State University football player for murdering a dog. He allegedly broke the animal’s neck and put it in a smoker on the belief that he was following God’s orders. Reporters covering the story were camped out on his lawn when Lowe took a dump in the front yard.

The Phoenix New Times, which originally broke the story, said a neighbor phoned in the incident.

“Lowe chose to use the front yard of a residence to relieve himself,” Goodyear Police Department spokeswoman Lisa Kutis told New Times, which included 10 shit emojis as graphics.

New Times reported that coworkers felt badly for Lowe and say he’s a good reporter.

Don’t try this people. The reporter faces a $2,500 fine or six months in jail.

Lowe isn’t the only reporter in modern times who has had to face questions about his shitting habits.

GotNews Editor Charles C. Johnson has answered to accusations that he shit the floor while in college. He claimed he did not do such a thing and that he was, in fact, helping a drunken classmate in the bathroom.
