If Secretary of Labor Tom Perez has any hopes of being selected as Hillary Clinton’s running mate he may want to shave a few minutes off of his stump speech.
Perez drew groans in Chula Vista, Calif. on Saturday from a crowd anxious to hear Bill Clinton speak.
“I want to tell you one thing about a story that I remember vividly from Nevada about immigrants,” Perez said after he had already been droning on for a while.
The crowd was not pleased. Some attendees could be heard groaning. Others chanted “We want Bill!”
Perez is considered to be in the running for Hillary Clinton’s vice president pick, mainly because of his expected appeal to Latino voters.
