When all the Bill Cosby stuff started coming out, I hoped it wasn’t true, but it did put some of his early stand-up work in perspective:
As we’re now learning, this wasn’t so much a stand-up bit as a confession. I mean, just look at that album cover. It was right there in front of our faces the whole time.
The Cos is back in court today, and if you’ve ever been a fan of his, it’s really depressing. Thank goodness we’ve got MSNBC’s Steve Kornacki to lighten the mood with this little faux pas:
“Right now out of Pennsylvania, Bill Clinton is set to arrive at a suburban… Excuse me, Bill Cosby is set to arrive at a suburban Philadelphia courthouse any moment now for a key hearing in his criminal sex assault case.”
Bill Clinton. Bill Cosby. What’s the difference?
Seriously, I’d like somebody to explain the difference to me. What has Cosby done that Clinton hasn’t done? Why is Cosby in trouble but Clinton isn’t? Is it because Cosby is black?
Oh, wait. Bill Clinton’s wife is running for president as a Democrat. Never mind. Sorry, Cos. You’re on your own.
