All hell broke loose during the waning seconds of Sunday’s NYPD vs. FDNY charity football game.

“They hit our quarterback out of bounds, and that’s how things started,” FDNY coach Steve Orr told the New York Post. “There were a lot of hotheads there.”

NYPD’s Finest led FDNY’s Bravest 29-13 when the fight started. Officials opted to let the clock expire instead of trying to stop the violence and resume the game.

This isn’t the first time the two forces have physically clashed.

The Post notes that several one-on-one fights broke out between the two teams during a 2014 charity hockey game.
