Donald Trump lashed out against the “dishonest media” on Tuesday, accusing reporters of giving him nothing but “bad press” over raising money for veterans’ groups while ignoring controversies allegedly involving the Clinton Foundation.

“I raised almost $6 million for the veterans, including putting up $1 million of my own money,” stated the presumptive Republican nominee. “I had no obligation to do anything or do so, and I get nothing but bad press from the dishonest media.”

Campaign manager Corey Lewandowski told CNN last week that Trump raised less than $6 million for veterans’ groups when he skipped a Republican debate in January because donors had given less than they pledged. Trump counsel Michael Cohen said this week Trump raised “4 or 5 million.”
