“The View” co-host said Ripa took it too personally when she found out the news that Strahan was leaving “Live with Kelly and Michael” to join GMA full-time in the fall, according to Page Six.
“I’ve been summarily fired so many times with nary a word to me,” she said. Adding, “It’s called show business, not show therapy.”
Last month, Ripa skipped work for several days after learning the news that Strahan was leaving. Multiple sources said that her reaction did not sit well with those in the know. Ripa did finally return to her show after four days off and addressed her absence, saying it was a matter of demanding “respect in the workplace.”
