On Wednesday night, Trump was asked once again about the audio recording from a People magazine interview in 1991 where it was reported he pretended to be his own publicist, according to CNN.

“It didn’t sound like me, though, really,” he said. “You think that sounded like me?” Trump asked Kimmel.

“Yeah,” Kimmel replied.

“I don’t,” Trump said.

“By the way the reporter came back and said, ‘I think Trump gave out the tape,'” Trump added. “Give me a break. From 28 years ago? … I think they felt that it wasn’t my voice and they didn’t want to have the liability.”

“I will say this: To me, that didn’t sound like my voice,”Trump insisted.

The Republican presidential candidate then admitted to Kimmel that he has used aliases in the past for business purposes, saying it was common for people in real estate to do so.

“You know, over the years I’ve used aliases,” he said. “And when I’m in real estate and especially when I was out in Brooklyn with my father and I’d want to buy something.” Adding, “I would never want to use my name because you had to pay more money for the land. If you tried to buy land, you used different names.”

Earlier this month, Trump denied the report that he posed as a publicist by the name of “John Miller” for the magazine interview with People. Those who have heard the recording say that Miller and Trump sound almost identical.
