Former University of California, Los Angeles doctoral student Mainak Sarkar claimed in a March blog post that the man he shot and killed Wednesday, Professor William Klug, “cleverly stole all my code and gave it to another student.”

“William Klug, UCLA professor is not the kind of person when you think of a professor. He is a very sick person,” Sarkar wrote on March 10. “I urge every new student coming to UCLA to stay away from this guy.

Sarkar’s blog has been deleted. He took his own life after shooting Klug.

“Your enemy is your enemy. But your friend can do a lot more harm. Be careful about whom you trust,” he continued. “Stay away from this sick guy.”

Klug has been praised as a great educator and loving father and husband by those who knew him.

Sarkar’s blog has been deleted, but a Google cashed version is screen captured below.
