Taking part in a panel discussion on Monday broadcast of “CNN Newsroom with Brooke Baldwin,” Democratic National Committee vice chair Donna Brazile argued that race is America’s “original sin.”
“American citizens do believe that race factors into it,” Pastor Darrell Scott said of Donald Trump’s verbal attacks on the judge presiding over the Trump University Case. “That’s all I’m saying.”
“Race has been a part of our DNA,” Brazile, a Hillary Clinton supporter responded. “It is our original sin as a country.”
“We have worked very hard, all Americans, to try to move beyond this so called moment where we essentially demonize someone because of their racial heritage or ethnic background,” she added. “We should be celebrating the diversity of this country.”
“This has no place in our political discourse.”
