Kim Kardashian has come out in defense of the nude selfie she posted on social media that has caused many entertainers to criticize her.

In a recent interview on the podcast Recode Decode, the 35-year-old reality TV star said she doesn’t know what the big deal is about after posting a nude selfie in March and says she never meant to cause a reaction. (RELATED: Kim Kardashian Posts Completely Nude Photo Online)

“I truly was baffled that people still cared,” she said. “They have seen me naked 500 times. Some people were outraged because I am a mom, some people were so supportive… I just think it looks good, I am really not trying to cause a reaction,” according to another report.

“My personality has never been, ‘I’m such a feminist and follow me and be naked,” she added. “If you are conservative and that’s how you are comfortable, more power to you. I respect you. You don’t have to look at what I do.”

“I don’t think a lot of people are at that phase, especially if you’re younger, you’re a teenager, and you’re a teenager growing up in a world where social media is so important and everywhere,” she added, referencing how comfortable she feels right now after years of dealing with “haters” in social media. “I feel really blessed that I was able to grow up and have a normal life before I even started to be in this business.”

Last month, the Kardashian won a Weeby award for “breaking the internet.” During her acceptance speech she said “Nude selfies till I die.”
