A Pennsylvania Police Department has issued a challenge to the creator of a sign promoting violence against cops.
The Falls Township Police Department posted on Facebook Tuesday calling out the “idiots” who created a sign that read “Only Good Cop – Is A Dead Cop …” The sign was spray painted on particleboard and placed on a local highway.
“I would like to challenge the person or persons who made and hung the sign to stop into the Police Dept and speak to us,” the post says. “I know whoever did this did it out of ignorance. I would like to sit down with them and show them what we do as Police Officers so they can base their opinion on facts and not ignorance. I doubt they will do this because they hung the sign in the middle of the night like a true coward that I think they are.”
The sign was found early Monday morning hanging on Lincoln Highway.
“But prove me wrong and lets get together maybe we can learn something from each other,” the post continues. “I want to stress this is America and anyone is well within their rights to hold such an opinion, but I find it ironic that whoever did this did it on the anniversary of D-Day when thousands of young Americans died to make sure an idiot or idiots like this can express their opinions.”
