A friend of Amber Heard said she has seen first hand the damage Johnny Depp caused and said she had to stop the cycle of violence.

Heard’s friend iO Tillet Wright was reportedly on the phone the night of the latest attack and says she is the one that called 911 for help, according to TMZ.

“I called 911 because she never would,” Wright said. “Because every time it happened, her first thought was about protecting him.” Adding Heard said Depp apologized after every alleged attack and said he would “never to do it again.” (RELATED: Johnny Depp Gets In Fight With Bodyguard While Partying In Denmark)

Wright puts down her thoughts about the December attack in a blog post. She writes that she saw the bloody pillow herself after the alleged attack. (RELATED: Amber Heard Issues Full Statement To Cops About Johnny Depp’s Abuse)

“I know this because I went to their house,” she added. “I saw the pillow with my own eyes. I saw the busted lip and the clumps of hair on the floor.” Adding after what she heard on the phone the night of May 21, she had to call for help.

“I was on the phone with both of them and heard it drop, heard him say, ‘What if I pulled your hair back,” she continued. “And her scream for my help, I wondered like so many times before if I should break the code of silence that surrounds celebrities and invite the police into the situation.”

That’s when Wright says she had heard enough and had to “stand up for my friend.”

Heard gave a statement to police last month about the alleged years of physical and emotional abuse at Depp’s hands.

The actor has denied any wrong doing.
