The day after Hillary Clinton officially becoming the Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee, CNN added a golden touch to Clinton’s speech.
On Wednesday’s “New Day,” CNN’s Jeff Zeleny provided the voice over, claiming, “Hillary Clinton’s history-making moment” coordinated with the graphic “Hillary Clinton Wins Big In California,” as Newsbusters reports.
What followed was Clinton’s speech from Tuesday night when she said, “The first time in our nation’s history that a woman will be a major party’s nominee for President of the United States.”
Zeleny continued, “Savoring a triumph in her long Democratic primary fight — exactly eight years after extinguishing her first trailblazing campaign” as the image of Clinton became awash in golden light.
WMAL’s Chris Plante argued that CNN made Clinton “a Golden God.”
