This Woman Was Recording When Omar Mateen Opened Fire On Orlando Nightclub

A woman was recording a video on her phone when Omar Mateen entered the Pulse nightclub in Orlando early Sunday morning and killed 49 people.

Amanda Alvear, 25, had posted several videos on her Snapchat while inside the club. In one that is especially chilling, Alvear is recording herself when over a dozen shots are fired.

TMZ reports that “many survivors have said clubgoers initially thought the shots were part of the music DJs were playing,” which is why Alvear seems unfazed by the sounds at first.
