Richard Simmons is speaking out for the first time in months.

In a Facebook post late Tuesday, the fitness guru denied rumors that he is transitioning into a woman after the National Enquirer published a report claiming he was. (RELATED: Shocking Report Claims Richard Simmons Is Transitioning Into A Woman)
“Some tabloids have recently falsely reported that I am transitioning,” Simmons said. “In response, I feel compelled to set the record straight and refute these lies.”

Instead, Simmons offered his condolences for the families of the 49 people who were shot at a gay nightclub in Orlando Sunday. (RELATED: Richard Simmons Was Hospitalized For Dehydration)
“Although I am not transitioning, I have and always will be supportive of those who are going through their journey,” he continued.
“We should not lose focus on showing love, strength and compassion to all of the LGBT community during these tragic times.
