Last Sunday’s episode of HBO’s series “Silicon Valley,” a Mike Judge creation lampooning the tech world, parodied the easily mockable Facebook commercial from 2012 that “chairs are like Facebook.”

The highly similar nature of the satirical commercial for the fictional startup “Pied Piper” exemplifies the shows’ amazing ability to imitate the nuances of the Silicon Valley lifestyle while also poking fun at its peculiarities.

It is no surprise that Silicon Valley is so spot on with the video caricature since Facebook board member Marc Andreessen and Twitter CEO Dick Costolo have both contributed their first-hand knowledge to Judge’s production.
