Nearly half of Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders supporters said they can’t vote for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in the general election.

According to a Bloomberg poll, 40 percent of respondents said they would not vote for former Secretary of State Clinton. Twenty-two percent are supporting Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and 18 percent are supporting Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson. Five percent said they didn’t know or didn’t have an opinion.

“I’m a registered Democrat, but I can’t bring myself to vote for another establishment politician like Hillary.” Laura Ames, a Sanders supporter from Beeville, Texas, said. “I don’t agree with a lot of what Trump says, but he won’t owe anybody. What you see is what you get.”

Bernie supporters still have a great degree of mistrust for Clinton. Perry Mitchell, a supporter in Washington, D.C., said of Clinton, “she’s a corporate candidate, I don’t support corporate candidates, I don’t do the lesser of two evils.” Mitchell will be supporting Trump.

According to Bloomberg, most of the sentiment towards Clinton involves mistrust over her integrity, her foreign policy, or her status as an establishment candidate.

Bloomberg credits “moral choice” as a key reason for supporters not trusting Clinton. According to the poll, a major reason for supporting Sanders is his honesty, and the fact that he isn’t beholden to large interest groups.

Several recent national polls have revealed Clinton is more supported than Trump in the wake of the Orlando terrorist shooting that left 50, including the shooter, dead, and 53 wounded, despite unfavorable numbers consistently above 50 percent. When third party candidates like Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein are added to the poll, that lead lowers dramatically to a statistical tie.
