According to Reuters, a man opened fire in a movie theater in the German city of Viernheim, near Frankfurt on Thursday.

German media are reporting that anywhere from 20 to 50 people are injured and the gunman has barricaded himself inside.
UPDATE: According to Yahoo News, a German interior minister says that elite police forces stormed the theater where the gunman was shot and killed.
According to German media, the police are reporting that approximately 25 people were hurt due to exposure to tear gas.
