Michael Strahan said he doesn’t miss his job on “Live With Kelly And Michael.”

During an interview with Chelsea Handler this week, the 44-year-old former football player opened up about his awkward exit from the morning show. (RELATED: Michael Strahan Was Blindsided When Kelly Ripa Made This MASSIVE Dig At Him)
“I really haven’t had a chance to watch it,” Strahan told Handler. “But I think I’ve been working so hard for the last seven or eight years since I retired from football, that it’s been a relief.”
“I really haven’t missed it,” he added. “But I loved it. Don’t get me wrong. I loved it. When you get a break, sometimes you kind of go, ‘Wow, I kind of needed it.'”

When the network announced Strahan would be leaving for a position on “Good Morning America,” Ripa was furious because she was only told hours before the press released went out. Insiders said that when she did return, she gave Strahan the cold shoulder for his last few days there.
