The Detroit Lions are revolutionizing the cheerleading game by letting quarterback Matthew Stafford’s wife Kelly help pick the squad.

Kelly posted an Instagram message saying, “So excited that I get the chance to help create the first @detroitlionsnfl cheerleading team! I will be judging a portion of the tryouts.. good luck to everyone trying out!! I know y’all will do great! I am so thrilled it’s finally happening!”

Not sure how simply being married to the quarterback somehow makes you qualified to help run a professional football team. (SLIDESHOW: This Gorgeous Olympian Loves To Show Off Lots Of Skin)

Aaron Rodgers girlfriend Olivia Munn isn’t being asked if the Packers should run a play action bootleg or a just throw a slant route. That’s what separates great teams from the Detroit Lions who are lucky to win eight games a year. (SLIDESHOW: These Are The Hottest Photos Of Ronda Rousey On The Internet)

Then again, when you look this good you can get away with a lot.

Another .500 season can’t get here fast enough for the Detroit Lions.
