Cormac McCarthy is alive and well despite rumors on social media that he has died.
On Tuesday, Twitter lit up after a tweet from an account under the publishing name of AKnopfNews said that the 82-year-old writer had died after suffering a stroke.
The rumors were quickly disputed as nothing but a hoax from a “rogue account,” according to Entertainment Weekly. (RELATED: UPDATED: Jennifer McCarthy cleared of bizarre gun charges)
