Fox Sports pundit Colin Cowherd had an interesting break down of the national soccer teams across the world by using college football teams for comparison.

“England is Notre Dame. Used to be better. Last thirty years mostly. France is Clemson. Always talented, but only one title,” Cowherd said in part while explaining the breakdown.

“We’re BYU. Darn solid, consistently scrappy, bowl level, can matchup with everybody except the top six or seven, and not really taken seriously by Brazil, Germany and Argentina,” he said about the US. (SLIDESHOW: This Gorgeous Olympian Loves To Show Off Lots Of Skin)

Cowherd is a vocal soccer fan despite the fact that soccer’s popularity in America still isn’t as high as the other four major sports. Smart move by him to break it down in football terms.
