Jason “Jace” Alexander was sentenced to 10 years of probation after he pled guilty to child pornography charges.

The Associated Press reports that the former “Law & Order” director was facing up to seven years in prison when he pleaded guilty in New York on Tuesday to promoting sexual performance by a child and possessing child pornography.

The incriminating files revealed minors engaged in sex acts and were found on the 52-year-old’s computer, according to a statement from the district attorney’s office.

One requirement of his sentencing is that Alexander must now register as a sex offender in New York. After pleading guilty earlier this year, he was released on $10,000 bail.

In addition to “Law & Order,” Alexander also worked on popular shows such as “Rescue Me,” “Royal Pains” and “Burn Notice.”
