The NFL is now more than willing to help former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel shake any addiction problems he might have.

Manziel told TMZ Sports that he’s getting sober on July 1, and that’s music to the NFL. NFL executive V.P. of football operations Troy Vincent spoke with 610 Sports in Philadelphia about getting Manziel some serious help. (SLIDESHOW: These Are The Hottest Photos Of Ronda Rousey On The Internet)

He said in part:

It’s what you go to bed every night thinking how do you assist someone that’s really not interested or quite frankly doesn’t want to meet you halfway. You can have all the resources and they’re endless, confidential resources in your hometown, the individual club where the players or family members live. They’re there. They’re available. But if an individual is not willing to meet you halfway to get assistance, it’s very difficult because it’s something you can’t make an individual do anything.

He has mostly spent the offseason partying, and had to recently explain that drugs allegedly left at his vacation spot in Cabo weren’t his.

It looks like the Johnny Manziel saga keeps getting more and more interesting by the day.
